Vision & Philosophy
Our vision is to instill Mana’olana (hope). Recent research indicates that hope is dwindling rapidly among youth in this current climate of public education and environmental decline. Only when our youth strongly possess Mana’olana will we win over these obstacles.
Our vision is to strongly influence the direction of public education by being an example of nature connected learning.
We hope to create a sustainable model program that is easily replicated in schools across the state and someday raise an army of young people to volunteer necessary services that turn our environment in a more positive direction.
Through this process young people will get strong lessons in leadership, thus developing the strong character and values that come from doing service and realizing one’s purpose.
